Welcome to the Pinelands Creative Workshop! Since our early years, we have been passionate about expanding our repertoire and specializing in Afro Caribbean Folk forms. This led to the birth of the “Fusion” on October 14, 1988, a remarkable collaboration between the Pinelands Creative Workshop and the Malick Folk Performers of Trinidad.

The Fusion represents the coming together of cultural grassroots organizations in the region, sharing resources to impact the development of culture in each nation state. By addressing cultural differences and similarities, we strive to enhance regional togetherness and understanding.

Throughout the years, the Fusion has attracted organizations from Tobago, St. Vincent, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Dominica, Antigua, St. Lucia, Grenada, and Guyana. We take pride in hosting and facilitating many productions from the region and beyond, including the outstanding production of “Shades of Ishe” featuring a highly talented Caribbean cast. This production has garnered interest throughout the region, and we have received support from UNIFEM and other partners.

As part of our Fusion activities, we have engaged in regional initiatives supported by Texaco Eastern Caribbean and Oxfam GB. These initiatives focus on community building and enterprise development in Dominica, St. Lucia, and Grenada, using the PCW model.

Join us in our mission to celebrate and promote Afro Caribbean Folk forms, fostering cultural cooperation and development throughout the region.
